FunVille Playground and Cafe Chesapeake

Owned and operated by a Chesapeake County family, FunVille Indoor Playground is the perfect haven for children and parents alike. Our family moved to Chesapeake in 2009. When the first rainy day came along, they found that there was nowhere for their kids to burn off some energy. What they needed was a large, air-conditioned, open space filled with toys and activities to challenge little bodies and minds, regardless of the weather. Once they realized that such a place simply did not exist, they decided to create one and FunVille playground was born! Adult Children Playground The 3300 square foot playground area that has been set up for this age group of walkers and runners is fantastic! Our signature feature is a fantastic climbing structure. Inside this amazing structure all sorts of interactive features including ramp leading up to slides and several levels to explore. The playground includes a giant spider tower and huge soft air guns shooting areas where kids can aim from different levels! The area includes multiple obstacles courses and many more! The playground is all enclosed for safety yet fully accessible for parents. 9-D Cinema You've probably tried 3D, and possibly even enjoyed a 4D theme park experience. But now, prepare to meet 9D!! The next-generation technology offers moviegoers a remarkably intense experience that you and your friends and family will never forget. Our 9-D cinema interactive movie lasts between 5 to 10 minutes and combines 9-D movies with luxury active-motion seats, interactive guns, surround sound, and such dramatic effects as fog, wind, and rain. Our 9D Cinema might sound like a movie theater, but its shows are as much of a ride as they are a movie. Riders recline in active-motion seats that tilt and shift to match each movie's events, creating a viewing experience more immersive than just moving your legs up and down while an action hero runs onscreen. While the seats swivel about, special effects stimulate film-appropriate weather. The theatre might turn snowy and windy for a film. The movies are created especially for 9D so they can create the many distinctive visual and sound effects to make your experience memorable! Toddler Playground The toddler Playground is a 450 square foot area, safely separated from the "big kids" by a 6.5 foot high boundary. It provides a stimulating physical environment that is shared by sitters and crawlers. There is plenty of room for the parents to sit while kids explore the toddlers’ area! One of our play structures is specifically designed for the under-3s. It offers climbing and sliding at just the right size. There is ample space to run and play, with soft features to balance on, scramble over and crawl through! Bumper Cars Crash into fun with Bumper Cars for only $5.00 per person! Get behind the wheel and start your engine! No driver’s license? No problem! All you need is permission to have fun. Cars are fully maneuverable and able to spin 360 degrees; no more getting stuck in the corner! This high-energy adventure is suitable for guests taller than 33″, and perfectly safe! Just buckle your seatbelt and Crash! Café and Adult Seating We have several seating options at FunVille Playground. One is the cafe seating area with individual bistro tables and chairs, offering an extensive view of the playground and the security camera monitor at the Reception Desk. You can enjoy a snack or a drink from our snack bar while you watch your children play. There is room for your children to join you if they want a snack! Other seating options are chairs throughout the playground, all with full view of the playground. These seating areas are also perfect for parents with infants. Moms and dads can sit comfortably in a chair and cuddle their infant while still being able to watch their older ones play. There is also free WiFi for mobile devices and laptops. Drinks: Bottled Water, Juices, Iced tea and sodas. Snacks:Ice Cream, Crackers, Fruit Snacks, Pretzels, Chips, Chocolate Bars, Candy Packs
