The stadium opened under its current name on October 6, 2003 with the construction taking just over two years at a cost of just over $235 million, $252 million in present day dollars. Currently, the Toyota Center houses the Houston Rockets. The Houston Rockets are two time NBA Champions and are members of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference within the NBA. They are known by their team colors consisting of red, silver and white. The current owner of the Houston Rockets is the Leslie Alexander. The stadium currently holds 18,023 fans for basketball games. There are 103 luxury suites and over 2,900 seats at the club level. Currently, it was the fourth smallest stadium in the NBA.
